LaunchPad Visits ITV America: An inside Look at Unscripted TV in Stamford

LaunchPad Fellows and employees

LaunchPad Fellows recently had the opportunity to visit ITV America for an exclusive site visit at The Village in Stamford, Connecticut—the same creative hub where LaunchPad is proudly located. Situated on the 4th floor, ITV America’s office offered Fellows an inside look into one of the most influential production companies in the unscripted television space.

This visit gave Fellows a rare chance to step directly into the environment where major television projects are developed, produced, and brought to life.

Exploring ITV America at The Village

From the moment Fellows arrived, the visit felt especially meaningful due to the shared connection between ITV America and LaunchPad’s home base at The Village. Being able to explore a world-class production company within the same building reinforced the importance of Stamford as a growing center for media, creativity, and entertainment.

Fellows toured the ITV America space, gaining firsthand exposure to the professional atmosphere and fast-paced energy behind one of the industry’s leading producers of unscripted content.

Breakout Sessions with Industry Professionals

One of the most impactful elements of the visit was the opportunity for Fellows to participate in several breakout group discussions with ITV America team members from different departments. These smaller sessions created a more intimate and interactive environment, allowing Fellows to ask specific questions, learn directly from professionals, and gain insight into multiple career paths within television.

Breakout groups included key areas such as:

  • Casting

  • Development

  • Production

  • and other essential divisions within the company

Each group offered a deeper understanding of how the unscripted pipeline works—from discovering talent and shaping stories, to pitching concepts and building successful series.

A Real-World Look at the Industry

For many Fellows, the visit was a valuable reminder that unscripted television is powered by collaboration across many departments, each with a unique role in shaping what audiences ultimately see on screen.

Through these conversations, Fellows learned not only what these teams do on a daily basis, but also what skills and qualities matter most when pursuing opportunities in the industry—curiosity, adaptability, communication, and the ability to work creatively under pressure.

An Inspiring Experience Close to Home

Having the ITV America visit take place in the same building where LaunchPad operates made the experience even more inspiring. It reinforced the idea that opportunities in the entertainment industry aren’t always far away—they can exist right down the hall, on another floor, within the same creative ecosystem.

For LaunchPad Fellows, the day was both motivating and empowering: a chance to visualize themselves working in these environments, building connections, and gaining clarity on the many pathways available in the entertainment world.

Thank You to ITV America

LaunchPad extends a sincere thank you to the ITV America team for welcoming our Fellows, offering their time, and providing meaningful insight into the many moving parts of unscripted television.

This visit was a standout experience for our Fellows and a valuable step forward in their professional journeys.

We look forward to continuing to create opportunities like this—connecting emerging creatives with the people, companies, and spaces shaping the future of entertainment.
